Final Random Inspection
It is an evaluation of key product characteristics at the end of production, when a consignment is 100% manufactured and at least 80% packed. It is commonly used to safeguard the shipment according to international sampling plans ANSI/ ASQ Z1.4, ISO 1259, BS6001, GB 2828 or any client-specific method. A representative number of shipment samples will be randomly drawn for the visual evaluation.
Products are generally inspected for:
Actual quantity check
Construction check
Workmanship check
Measurement and/or on-site test
Performance check on completed products
Verification of packaging material, labeling, barcodes, shipping marks, etc
Full Check
Full check means 100% check, and it is only occurred when the order quantity is small or the product value is high but the products quality is fluctuant. While Full Check, the products must be 100% finished, and is 100% inspected one by one.
Benefits of a Pre-Shipment Inspection:
Performing PSI is useful as a standard Quality Assurance check prior to shipment. However, performing PSI alone can be problematic when product failures, defects or non-conformities are identified close to a shipment deadline. Performing PSI in combination with During Production Inspections (DPI) even with Initial Production Check (IPC) is recommended to identify potential risks early in the production cycle.
